I bought several sets of these to replace an assemblage of boxes that I used to store magazines in. I don't normally write reviews, but I was impressed by how well these worked and I felt I needed to add a counterpoint to the one negative review. These are two feet deep and are designed for document storage, I bought these to store magazines in. To assemble, the boxes are folded open, then the insertion of the coupling pieces stiffens it. The wire reinforced sides of the drawers are locked into the front and back with clips to complete the assembly of one unit. Coupling additional boxes to the tops and sides together adds more stiffness. As I assembled it, it became apparent that the aspect ratio of the stacked boxes is important for stiffness and stability, not to mention safety. A stack of single boxes, would be a little floppy and would be easy to tip over. My present assembly is five high and three wide, and will be expanded later to five by four. I've filled the drawers with thirty to fifty pounds of magazines each and the loading has made the assembly more rigid.A few notes: If you expect these to be as strong as steel storage cabinets, these are not for you. They must be stacked and interlocked vertically and horizontally or they will not be very rigid. The interlocking bars on the top box must be installed to stiffen this box even if you don't intended to add more boxes vertically. I had to pad the underside of the boxes with cardboard to protect my floors from the steel side frames, as some extend beyond the bottom of the box and would have marred my floors. The sides are interlocked at the steel frames with a screw and a wing nut. It can be difficult to install the second screw, as the cardboard parts of the boxes change dimensions with humidity and temperature, pushing the frames out of alignment. For ease of assembly, I would suggest opening the shipping box in the room where the drawers will be assembled and letting them breathe for 24 hours before assembly.I decided to move these from one room to another, only to discover every single crossbar was rusted!! I purchased these only 4 months ago, and I live in an incredibly arid climate (not to mention, they've been in my home, where I monitor humidity levels). I'm extremely disappointed, because I swear by banker's boxes, and I was super excited when I found these. Good thing I discovered the rust now, I suppose, rather than if I'd stacked them 10x tall and they eventually collapsed. 12 bars total, 6 under the bottom 3 drawers and 6 between the first and second level of drawers - all of them looked like the ones in the photo (some slightly better, some slightly worse, but all showing similar corrosion). I would return them, if I still could.Metal reinforcement on the sides of the boxes are not installed correctly. If one of the four metal pieces is in installed pointing the opposite direction of the other three, then the connecting bars will not seat properly and the boxes cannot be stacked properly. This set should have been rejected on the assembly line. Definitely a manufacturer's mistake.Unfortunately for me, I discovered this after the return date.I really like these, they're pretty easy to stack, they stay in place, and they are a lot sturdier than my normal banker boxes. They're expensive, but I like that they hold a lot, don't sag, and look good. The only thing that threw me, is that you'll need a metal hanger to put inside if you want to store hanging files; However, I'd still recommend them. The boxes are no where near as sturdy as they appear or are proclaimed to be by their weight capacity. I returned them very unsatisfied.great.Don't be fooled by 6 pack. This order is for only 1 bankers box drawerGreat product, good price
