Item wasn’t too large, fit some overflow jewelry pieces I had. Liked the leather look.There’s a lot of spaces for various types of jewelry. Very nice for gift giving.Great size for 1st box for child.Bought to replace one I had. Much more efficient.My wife likes the versatility due to the large number of compartments, and the view through the glass top. I believe that the box is really not intended for travel because it lacks a top handle.I bought this as a gift and she loved it! So much space and easy to organize.Favorite thing i have in my room. It is a great gift. the pockets that are made for each layer are removable and you can customize it yourself if you need to. Lots of space to fit all my rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces. For travelling, I think you would want a smaller box with a handle.I've been looking for a nice jewelry box for a while. This one caught my eye because the layout is very well designed for what I have. The squares are not too deep, so it's easy to reach the items. The lining inside is nice and soft and the quality is exactly what I hoped it would be. The white is a perfect shade - matches my Benjamin Moore "Simply White" walls just right. Love it, couldn't be more pleased. Highly recommend.
