Fibers are hydro pulped to separate out coatings (like wax and plastics) and then recycled into new paper products, or composted if recycling is not possible. Lastly, fabrics are separated by material and are recycled, upcycled, or re-used as appropriate. Each collection box can be placed at convenient locations throughout the lab or facility. When full, simply place the collection box in a designated shipping area. Each box has a pre-paid UPS shipping label affixed. This program offers a convenient opportunity to recycle various types of waste found in most labs. Beakers, vials, pipet tips, pipet tip boxes, and any item contaminated with hazardous, flammable, or infectious substances are not accepted in this box. All brands of personal protective equipment products are accepted, including ear plugs, beard nets, hair nets, disposable garments, disposable gloves (latex, vinyl and nitrile), booties, and safety glasses.
