These were sent to my nephew's home because? Remembering back, I imagined that those unusually busy days near the holidays might make for tired parents AND youngsters at the breakfast table. I know it seems funny, but I well remember how pleased & actually thrilled my little sister & I were to have our very OWN box. And how colorful were the pictures on the wee packages. It must've been music to the adults' ears to hear how delightful were our conversations when we were choosing which cereal we'd have today & planning ahead about which we'd have tomorrow. They made for happy childhood memories & a respite for the mother who, as a special & well-earned treat, didn't have to serve as a short order cook nor listen to squabbles about what would be the fare. Nor would both parents have to hear, "No! I don't want... (whatever; fill in the blank here)" or "I'm tired of that" or "Eggs? Not a-GAIN!" It'd work just as well come spring break.
