With todays day and age, it’s becoming easier and easier for thief’s to steal our belongings. I keep my car keys in the box and honestly, at first, I was a bit skeptical. I put the key in the box but left the lid/top open. Went to unlock the car and of course it unlocked it, with the lid/top left open. Now once I closed the lid/top, my car no longer sensed the key resulting in the car being locked. So I’d say it works. Looks pretty good tooThe other day there was an attempted car robbery a few streets over. I have this box and decided to see how good it worked so I put all of my keys in the box and when I stood near my car and put my hand under the handle, it unlocked. Stunned I got in my car and put the box of keys on the seat and proceeded to START my car. It’s very frustrating when you buy something that is supposed to protect such an expensive investment and it doesn’t deliver. Thankfully I have found something that works. Don’t mess around.I like the RFID key fob protection box. It is a little larger than I would have preferred, though probably most people would like the size because it's roomy enough to accommodate several key fobs. I also purchased an RFID key fob box that is a little more compact, which I preferred. Please note that in order for the box to give protection, it must be tightly closed. Just make sure to close the latch on the cover, and it should be fine. If even slightly opened, the waves will go through, and the car will not be protected. I only gave this box 4 stars because not as well made and attractive as the slightly smaller one I had purchased which has a textured cover and stitching detailing around the top.after testing this faraday box, it works as advertised. good size to put 4 maybe 5 key fogsThis box actually works. I keep all of my spare keys in it. The signal is blocked and I have no worries.We tested by putting our key fob in the box and walking to our car. We were unable to open.Just the right size.Really not to sure about this box I tested it by putting my keys in the box ,then went to the car with the box in hand, sat in the car with the box sealed and on my lap to see if it blocks the signal and my car started I then tried my second car and the same thing the car started.This is certainly not blocking the signal. Very DisappointedI bought two of these boxes, and I just received them the other day.My vehicle is a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT that uses a keyfob. For my vehicle, I keep the keyfob in my pocket and can open and lock my doors and back hatch by touching the door or hatch handles. In addition, when I start my vehicle by push button, and my foot is on the brake, the vehicle checks to see if the keyfob is inside the vehicle. If it is not, then the dashboard will display "No keyfob in vehicle", and not start the vehicle. I put one of my keyfobs in one of the boxes, closed it up, and tried to open the doors and the hatch. As I was trying to open the doors and hatch, I rotated the box in various directions, but was never able to open the doors or hatch . I tried this with both boxes, and I was unable to open the doors or hatch with either box.So I opened up the top of one of the boxes, with the keyfob in it, and I was easily able to open up the door with no trouble.I then tried to start the vehicle with the keyfob inside the fully closed box, which was inside the vehicle. Again I rotated the box, while repeatedly trying to start the vehicle. No luck, the vehicle would not start. I open up the box and tried again, and the vehicle immediately started up.So in summary. The box (actually both boxes) I bought works exactly as described. It is a nice size, well made, and a reasonable priced. It works perfectly for my vehicle and keyfobs.Maybe what I got was defective, but it didn't block my key fobs' radio signal.Sealed the keys in the box and latched it, but the signal still got through and allowed the car's doors to unlock.Box looked nice and appeared sturdy, but that wasn't what I wanted. Return and refund was really easy.
