Make sure you have reasonably matched cells with a similar charge on them before you assemble the battery. The BMS is for 13 seriesed up cells even though the holder will take 14 seriesed up cells, this can lead to confusion and possibly an improperly connected BMS like the previous reviewer that had the fire, check his photos to see what I mean, instructions would be helpful. The BMS is more of a protection board and will not do a good job of providing a balanced charge if the cell banks get way out of balance on their charge. Their is not a separate charge port on the BMS, same port is used for charge and discharge. The gasket they shipped was way too short and the wires were of insuffient gage for high current charge and discharge but these were minor issues easily resolved. Overall a good product at a good price.
