I got this to do the teachers gift with. It was spa themed so we used this along with several products and a spa gift card. These are heavy items we used in the box and this box held them perfectly. It's extremely durable and very easy to put together. We used some ribbon taped around the box and put a bow on top. Turned out great!Nice boxes. I got pink, gold, and black ones to make memory boxes for my children. I just needed plain solid color ones. All the boxes I could find at the local craft store were decorative with print and costs way more.These came flat packed and wrapped in cellophane. They are pre-scored. They are easy to assemble. Just peel the backing off double-sided tape and pop the box open. Hold it for a few seconds for the adhesive to bond. After that, they were pretty sturdy.The boxes have magnetic closures. The magnets are embedded in the cardboard. The finish is nice but the black one cracked slightly in the seams when I folded the lid. Just be careful.They boxes have a glossy finish but I was able to attach photos of my kids to make a collage covering the surfaces of the boxes using only Elmer's purple glitter sticks. They worked out perfectly! I would get these again!I forgot to take pictures before I used the pink one. Attached pictures of the black one instead.I purchased this box as a replacement for a shoe box. The width and height are great for this purpose, but I didn't realize that it is a little to long for my shoe shelf. My mistake - no lost stars for that one. Unfortunately, it won't be storing a pair of shoes, but I'm sure I'll find another great use for it.A couple of small observations: The box is shipped flat. It measures 14" by 17 3/4" and not very thick. It got shipped to me in a large shipping box so the item was able to flop around during in transit. The length and width of the shipping box were just right, but had one of its corners gotten crunched in transit, it would have damaged the item. Fortunately, mine arrived in good shape. Another point to note is that the inside dimensions are about 1/2" shorter than the advertised dimensions. The listing appears to be giving the overall outside dimensions. No big deal, just worth noting.The magnets that hold the lid closed are great! I was surprised how strong they were and how well they held the box closed. As a matter of fact, I didn't adhere the corners (because I may want to store the box flat until I use it) and the lid does a great job of keeping the box together.
