Good addition to the Disney Infinity 3.0.Much like the Toy Box Takeover (and the crystal Play-Sets), this is limiting as far as replay value and/or after you get everything to unlock in the main Toy Box (Sandbox) area of the Disney Infinity game. Just by placing the small crystal on the base, it automatically unlocks items in the main game. Others you need to acquire in game-play. Obviously if you want a more complete Disney Infinity, you need to have this as part of your collection. This is of course standard Disney design to almost force you to purchase as much as possible. If you're a racing game fan, this can be fun for you or your child with the many themed worlds. You can play as any character and spend time just racing - or getting the extras that are located around the tracks. While there is a good selection of themed worlds, perhaps they could expand on it a bit more with the 4.0.Recommended for any Disney Infinity fan/player.... or, almost. So this is the 2nd toybox expansion piece along side the toybox takeover. This one is about racing, and like takeover, you're able to use all of your infinity character collection during gameplay. Speedway also adds any vehicle you've managed to unlock in your toybox to be used during gameplay as well. Yes, even the power disc only ones, granted you have the disc. So this opens up some truly quirky options: Venom in a teacup, Elsa in a snowmobile. You get the idea. Racing is done three different ways: Time trial, grand prix or single race, and a battle race. Different characters pose no advantage over another, but vehicles do handle differently. The exception here is any Cars figures you may have collected, being that they can be leveled up, gaining certain race affective abilities. Track diversity is decent, but there arent many, clocking in at 9 total. If you enjoy the driving and its somewhat wonky mechanics, youll have a blast with this.Toy box speedway is an OK addition to the Disney Infinity lineup but with a a bunch of flaws a few I listed below. I was hoping for the classic Mario Kart experience but it just doesn't quite make the grade.1. Many of the shortcuts in the game are simply unusable because of how poorly they were designed. A few for example come out at walls forcing the player to slow down dramatically to make a 90 degree turn. Add that to a number of vehicles that don't handle well anyway and the game loses fun factor quick.2. Weapons in battle mode are disappointing at best. Many of the them simply seem useless or have to short a range to really do much damage. All to often in battle mode it seems multiple AI will gang up on you if you are not out of range.3. Replay ability just doesn't seem to be there IMO, with no career mode or long term goals. Its grinding the same 9 tracks over and over again at different speeds, time trials or with weapons. Yes you can use the many different vehicles you have gathered but that really is the limit of the novelty. They couldn't have mirrored tracks reversed direction for a change up?What a fun game! I play this with my son and he absolutely loves it. The different speedways are great, and the cars that the NPCs use are great. My son doesn't seem to mind these limitations I'm about to detail, so keep in mind that kids may not be bothered like I was. Unfortunately, you are limited to only racing as the Toy Box characters you have, and their cars are really not great. There are 4 to choose from, and it would be SO easy to allow us to have more exciting vehicles. Oh well. I still think this was a great add-on and worth every penny. One of the best toy box takeovers out right now. Once loaded you choose from any vehicle you have purchased in the toy store (with the exception of flying vehicles) or unlocked in other toy boxes and start racing. You have the choice of a time trial (just you), combat race (damage dealing items with computer controlled players), or just a standard race (no items with computer controlled players) on 9 different Disney, Star Wars and Marvel themed courses in either grand prix(series of races) or just a single race. It has decent replayability as each course has three difficulties. It's fun to see what combo of character and vehicle you can dream up.Not only the kids had fun playing but I did too! Disney infinity I consider to be more of a kids game with the figures and simplistic tasks but I still enjoy playing it with my son. And with the rasing it added some competitive game play that added more hours of fun for the kids and II am 40 and I loved to play Mario Kart on Wii with the kids...and for that matter on Super Nintendo with my sisters long agoThis is not to level of Mario Kart but for $20 me and my daughter can have some fun especially since she is a driving video game rookieThe fun part is to be able to race Luke or Darth Vader vs Tinkerbell etcSame as if I were to buy in store but the packaging was bent, otherwise perfectly fine and probably one of the better things to buy for Disney infinity 3.0. Its also a huge bargain compared to toys r us or target so get em while you can, Disney infinity isn't around for much longer.Out of all the Disney Infinity packs I've ever bought, and I have a lot ;)My kids always love playing this Speedway mission pack. Its got lots of tracks and they love choosing their favourite cars and racing around the track endlessly. My kids are 6 and 8, boy and girl by the way.The quality is very good, and I think it feels a lot like Mario Kart on the Wii for the kids as they play that too.You do need to unlock the cars for each character that you have to play it at its best else there are some sample cars included.Though Disney Infinity is no more :(This pack is still fun to play on the PS4, and in my kids age range :)Unfortunately Disney Infinity has been discontinued, which is surprising as there aren't many francishes that love money as much as Disney, and it appeared that the toys to life market was there to be milked.I purchased this as an add on to the Disney Infity 3.0 I bought as my kids like racing games. It's a solid racer, like a reasonably new Mario Kart but no shells to throw at people. The kids like they can change characters and use ones they are familiar with.Good little race add on to your disney infinity 3.0. I don't know why it wasn't included with the game at first (to get a bit more money out of you) but the kids love it and it does add a new dimension to a game to extend its playability. When I ordered this gave I had doubts on whether it would fit the description, but since the arrival it priced it's worth. This gave has different levels and scenes from multiple Disney movies - and can be enjoyed by ages 4 and older. I personally enjoyed the game therefore recommending it as a birthday present to a family member, or a younger sibling. Quick ,speedy and on time if not early delivery. I would definitely consider ordering this product and wider range of products again. My 4 year old boy and his 47 year old daddy both love this racing add on to the toy box. So cheap too. Well worth the money. Delighted I bought it as a surprise.
