We needed some really powerful electric motor. Based on the descriptions it sounded like a potentially good choice. But in reality it is a lot of plastic parts, the motor is not really powerful, and it did not tolerate any extra voltage. It was easy to put together for two 12 year-old boys, so in that sense it worked. But the end result is not very good, at least not for our project. The gears made some unpleasant noise despite all the greasing. In fact the only useful thing for our purposes was the grease which we used for our Lego gears. That's not so good for the price... This toy may be fine for less demanding projects.
